VLSI Design Conference Jan 5th - 10th, 2013 at Hyatt Regency, Pune, India

The VLSI Design Conference 2013, in Pune, was very wonderful. The ecosystem of chip design companies in Pune has come up very well. The event also got limelight with visit to the event by Maharastra CM Prithviraj Chavan. Mr. Chavan further promised support to chip design industry to further enhance Pune's strength as an emerging silicon city for India.

With keynote speakers from LSI Corp, Applied Micro, Marvell, Intel, IBM speaking on topics like "Intelligent Silicon in the Data-centric Era , Opportunities and Challenges for High Performance Microprocessor Deisgns and Design Automation, Semiconductors in Smart Energy Products, Cloud computing needs at less power and low cost and Mr. Amal Bommireddy - Challenges of First pass Silicon, Deciphering the brain, cousin to the chip, Embedded Vision Systems, Electronics Backbone of Renewable Energy Industry, Advancing High Performance System-on-Package via Heterogeneous 3-D Integration " the event became mesmerising. Apart from this, 4th IEEE international workshop on "RASDAT" was really unforgettable.
